Thompson v. Jones-  St. Charles County, Missouri - Judge Zerr 

    In this case, Plaintiff claimed a permanent hand injury and chronic regional pain syndrome after colliding with a vehicle making a left hand turn on 5th Street in St. Charles.  Plaintiff's lowest demand was $70,000 with the Defendant offering $22,500.  Plaintiff's attorney asked the jury for $200,000.  The jury awarded Plaintiff $154,000 but found Plaintiff was 95% at fault for causing the accident, reducing the verdict to $7,700.  Dave Simkins tried this case on November 7th and 8th of 2016.

Azar v. Missouri Auto Auction - Boone County, Missouri - Judge Asel 

  This case arose out of a slip and fall that took place at the Defendant's place of business and Plaintiff was seeking a verdict in excess of $100,000.  Defendant had made an offer of judgment for $11,500.  The jury awarded Plaintiff $2,500 but found Plaintiff 50% at fault, reducing the verdict to just $1,250.  With a set-off of $1,000, Plaintiff was left with just $250 and owed Defendant taxable costs in excess of this amount.  Dave Simkins tried this case on October 12, 2016.
